LIVEY™ (“LIVEY™,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a local live-entertainment discovery service that helps you find events at bars, restaurants, clubs, theatres, and venues near you. This Privacy Policy applies to the LIVEY™ mobile app (iOS and Android) and the LIVEY™ website at liveyapp.com.
LIVEY™ is operated by Jilcyn Enterprises, LLC, United States.
We collect only what we need to run the app: your account information, the events and places you save or follow, and — only with your permission — your device location to find nearby events and a profile photo if you choose to add one.
We do not sell your data, show ads, use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, or track you across other apps or websites.
We never request your contacts, calendar, or background location. You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or from our website.
Provided when you create an account (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase, and stored with a hashed password). Used to sign you in and to send transactional email — verification, password reset, and account-deletion confirmation.
The name you enter during onboarding, used to personalize the app. Optional.
If you choose to set a profile picture, you select an image from your device's photo library and we upload it to our storage so it can appear as your avatar. We open your photo library only when you tap to add or change your picture — we never scan or upload any other photos. Optional, and you can remove it at any time.
Your home ZIP code (to find events in your area) and your account type (regular user, venue, or artist/organizer).
The personalization choices you set — your preferred genres and event types, your budget range, your maximum travel distance, and your app appearance (theme). Used to tailor the events we show you. Optional.
The events you favorite, the venues and artists/organizers you follow, and any area-alert subscriptions you opt into. Stored with your account so they sync across your devices.
If you report content, we store your report (what you reported, a category, and an optional note). Venues and artists/organizers may submit event and profile details, and may submit venue/artist/organizer ownership claims for review.
When you submit a venue or artist/organizer ownership claim, you may attach verification documents (images or PDFs) as proof that you represent the venue or artist/organizer. These files are stored privately — they are never publicly readable — and are accessible only to you and to our reviewers, who open them through short-lived secure links to verify your claim before approving it. You can remove a document while your claim is still under review, and all of your verification documents are deleted when you delete your account.
If you tap “Near me,” we ask your device for your current location and send the coordinates to our server one time to resolve your nearest ZIP code — we process them in the moment to find your area and do not retain them — then use that ZIP to show nearby events. We never access your location in the background, and we never sell or share location data. You can use the entire app by typing a ZIP code instead.
If you opt in to event reminders or area alerts, we store a push token for your device (delivered by Expo's push service) so we can send the notifications you asked for. You can turn this off any time in Settings or your device settings.
If the app crashes, we receive a diagnostic report (via Sentry) to help us fix bugs. These reports are not linked to your identity — we do not attach your account to crash events, and we do not send personal information to our crash tool.
When you use our public account-deletion web form, your IP address is held briefly (no more than 24 hours) solely to rate-limit abuse of that form. It is a security measure, not tracking, is never used to profile you, and is not shared.
Some information stays on your device and is not stored on LIVEY™’s servers: your recent searches, the events and venues you’ve recently viewed, any private notes or reviews you write for yourself, and a cached copy of public content so the app loads quickly. Your recent searches and recently-viewed list are cleared when you sign out.
We do not collect or access your contacts, calendar, health information, or financial information, and we do not use your camera or microphone to record or capture content. We do not use advertising identifiers, do not build advertising profiles, and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
We use the information above only to: create and secure your account; show you relevant local events; deliver the reminders and alerts you request; let you save favorites and follow venues and artists; moderate reported content (within our 24-hour review commitment); keep the service reliable and secure, including preventing abuse; and comply with the law. We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small set of vendors that process data on our behalf, under contract, only to run LIVEY™ and not for their own purposes:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or LIVEY™.
LIVEY™ discovers public event and venue listings from sources such as Ticketmaster, Foursquare, and OpenStreetMap, and uses automated tools — including third-party AI (Google Gemini and Groq) — to organize that public listing data. This processing involves public venue and event information only: no user account data, location, or personal information is ever sent to those discovery sources or AI services.
You can delete your account two ways: in the LIVEY™ app via Settings → Account → Delete account, or — without installing the app — using our public form at liveyapp.com/account/delete.
When you delete your account, we permanently and immediately delete your account identity, revoke active sessions and push tokens, and remove the profile-linked records used for your email, display name, profile photo, home ZIP, account type, preferences, favorites, follows, area-alert subscriptions, and any ownership claims. You can create a fresh account with the same email right away.
Deleting your account deletes your account data. A limited set of operational records is retained only for security, fraud prevention, content moderation, reliability, and legal compliance — specifically administrative audit logs, content-moderation and report records, and system security logs. These are never a recoverable copy of your account and are never used to re-identify or contact you, and are kept no longer than needed for those purposes.
You can view and update your profile and preferences in the app at any time, and delete your account using either path above. Location, photo-library access, and notifications are all optional and controlled by your device’s system settings — the app works without them. Marketing email is off by default; you receive it only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Depending on where you live — for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We honor verified requests, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; email us using the contact below. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
The only category of “sensitive personal information” we process is your precise location, and only for the “Near me” lookup described above — we do not retain it, do not sell or share it, and do not use it for any other purpose.
LIVEY™ is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
LIVEY™ is operated in the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you use LIVEY™, your information (and that processed by our service providers) is handled in the United States.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and database row-level access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit what we collect in the first place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of LIVEY™ after an update means you accept the revised policy.
